For my family, Halloween is about the Never Underestimate A Girl Who Loves Horses And Was Born In February Shirt kids. I have 6 grandkids and they get up early for school, get home, do homework, eat dinner, get dressed up and then rush out to trick or treat for an hour if they’re lucky before it’s bath and bedtime. It can wind up being a stressful day for all. So wouldn’t it be more fun to make a day of it on Saturday?  Weather on Halloween depends on the climate you live in. Usually cold and sometimes rainy here. It would be nice if kids had a broader window of opportunity to trick or treat before it got too dark &/or cold outside.
